Yesterday, the leader of the Liberal Party (PL), Deputy Sóstenes Cavalcante (RJ), filed an urgent status request for the bill that grants amnesty to those involved in the events of January 8, 2023 (Bill 2858/22). The number of signatures in favor of the urgent status suggests that both the status and the merits of the proposal have a high chance of being approved. Today, the government is sending the 2025 Budget Guidelines Bill (PLDO) to Congress. The 2025 PLDO will be reviewed by the Joint Budget Committee and then sent to the full Congress for consideration.
