The government may announce today a package of measures to mitigate the impact of the 50% tariff hike the United States has imposed on Brazilian exports. Finance Minister Fernando Haddad had been scheduled to hold a virtual meeting with U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent this Wednesday, but it was canceled, with no new date set. In the Senate, the Environment Committee will hold confirmation hearings for Larissa Oliveira Rêgo, Cristiane Collet Battiston, and Leonardo Góes Silva, nominated to the board of the National Water and Basic Sanitation Agency (ANA).
