Lula said this year’s campaign has been the “least organized” he has ever participated in over the course of his political career. First Lady Janja’s role in Lula’s campaign is being questioned and has generated unease within the party and the campaign. Today, the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) will hear an appeal involving Anthony Garotinho’s candidacy and the fate of the 274,411 votes received by the former governor in the first round of the Rio de Janeiro gubernatorial election. Depending on the court’s decision, Douglas Ruas (PL) could be elected in the first round.
