President Lula has a busy schedule this week. Today, he will launch the Desenrola program for financially compliant consumers, aimed at individuals who keep their bill payments up to date. Beginning Saturday, July 4, certain actions by public officials will be prohibited due to the October elections, including appointments, dismissals and hiring decisions, as well as participation in the inauguration of public works projects. On Wednesday (July 1), the Senate will hold a plenary debate on the proposed constitutional amendment (PEC) that would eliminate the 6x1 work schedule. Following the debate, Senate President Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP) is expected to finally refer the proposal to the Senate Constitution and Justice Committee (CCJ).
