The departure of Fernando Haddad from the Ministry of Finance was published in the Federal Official Gazette. Dario Durigan, who had been serving as Executive Secretary, has been appointed minister. Former banker Daniel Vorcaro has signed a confidentiality agreement with the authorities involved in the investigation into the Banco Master fraud case. The document was signed by the businessman, his legal defense, the Office of the Prosecutor General, and the Federal Police. The Supreme Federal Court (STF) begins today, through its virtual plenary, the trial of a case filed by the Workers’ Party (PT) seeking to suspend the São Paulo state law that authorized the privatization of the São Paulo State Basic Sanitation Company (Sabesp). The proceedings will run through March 27.
