Turkish politics entered the Twilight Zone after a brief experiment with “normalization”, which is a wind of fresh breath for Yours Truly, who has become a crisis junkie long time ago. Just like the good old days, each new dawn brings fresh shocks, most of which contradict the main developments of the day before. Currently, AKP-MHP are employing full court defense on Kurds to persuade PKK to disarm and DEM to vote for a new constitution. I’m firmly of the opinion that this attempt is futile. Sooner or later Erdogan will have to bargain with CHP leader Ozgur Ozel about a date for early elections, acceptable to both. Erdogan also heralded that soon Turkey will complete the buffer zone around her borders to avert terror attacks.
