Jun 11 President: Kazakhstan is ready to supply Slovakia with oil, gas, and uranium. Jun 13 Ministry of Foreign Affairs: The US has expressed its willingness to cooperate with Kazakhstan in the field of critically important minerals. Jun 14 Atomic Energy Agency: Rosatom will lead the consortium for the construction of the first nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan will become the sole owner of the plant upon its completion. Atomic Energy Agency: China's CNNC will lead a consortium for the construction of a second nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan. Jun 16 NBK: Kazakhstan's international reserves increased by 1.7% in May m-o-m (7.3% YTD) to $112.3 bln. Atomic Energy Agency: Russia will provide Kazakhstan with preferential financing for the construction of the nuclear power plant. Energy Ministry: Kazakhstan is constantly negotiating with Moscow to increase its oil supplies to Germany. The amount of supply was 1.5 mln tons in 2024, and the plan for this year stands at 2.0 mln tons, which potentially could be raised to 2.5 mln tons. Energy Ministry: Kazakhstan discusses potential oil supplies to Hungary via the Druzhba pipeline. Government: QazaqGaz and the Chinese Shandong Energy have agreed to build a coal-chemical plant in Kazakhstan, with investments of up to $2bln. OPEC+: Kazakhstan exceeded OPEC+ quota by 430 thousand bpd in May. Development Bank of Kazakhstan: China Development Bank to open a new credit line to DBK to finance investment projects worth $1 bln.
