Jul 2 Energy Ministry: Russia has not requested fuel supplies, including humanitarian aid. Alatau City Bank: The bank has decided to return KZT 125.3 bln ($261.4 mln) of state aid to the government ahead of schedule. President: Mobile operator VEON, a multinational telecommunication and digital services company, plans to invest $1 bln in Kazakhstan's economy over the next three years. EBRD: The bank plans to invest €1.3 bln in Kazakhstan in 2026. President: Mr. Tokayev discussed cooperation between Kazatomprom and Canadian Uranium producer Cameco with the company’s CEO Mr. Gitzel. Jul 3 CPC: The EU hopes for stable operation of the CPC. Jul 4 President: Mr. Tokayev confirmed the course towards strengthening the strategic partnership with the US. Jul 7 Energy ministry: Kazakhstan plans to increase gas transit by 4% in 2026, to 73.3 bln cubic meters. Energy ministry: Kazakhstan intends to reduce gas production by 5.4% in 2026, to 64.5 bln cubic meters. Energy ministry: The second gas processing plant at Kashagan and the gas processing plant at Karachaganak are scheduled to be launched by 2030. KMG: Production at Karachaganak oil field is still not at full capacity. Energy ministry: Kazakhstan is trying to fulfill its obligations to OPEC+, but hopes to maintain its production plans for 2026 (98 mln tons). Energy ministry: Kazakhstan plans to extend the petroleum products exports ban until May 2027. Ministry of trade: Kazakhstan and Iran have signed a BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) agreement on the construction of a Kazakh transport and logistics terminal in the Iranian port of Shahid Rajai (one of the two parts of the Bandar Abbas port).
